Apple Gorgonzola Salad


Apple Gorgonzola Salad

Candied pecans
(Prepare 1-2 hours before you make the salad)
¾ - 1 cup pecan pieces
Brown sugar, enough to coat pecans
2 - 4 Tablespoons butter

1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
2. Add pecans and stir.
3. Sprinkle on brown sugar and stir 5 - 10 minutes over medium heat.
4. Spread pecans on aluminum foil to cool.

Dressing: 
Blend until thick;
            ¼ cup chopped onion
            1 cup salad oil
            ¼ cup honey
            1 teaspoon Salt
            ½ teaspoon White pepper
            1/8 cup white sugar
            ¼ cup lemon juice
This makes a lot of dressing. You can double or triple the salad ingredients.
Salad  ingredients;
            1 head torn Romaine lettuce
            1 container of Gorgonzola cheese (1/3 -1/2 cup, crumbled)
            2 Granny Smith apples
            Pecans
Add dressing. Toss altogether.
