Skillet Dinner


Skillet Dinner
- better than cabbage rolls.

3 Tablespoons butter
5 cups chopped green cabbage
2/3 cup rice
1 medium onion, chopped (1 cup)
1 - 2 lbs. ground beef
4 cups canned tomatoes

1. Melt butter in skillet.
2. Layer cabbage, uncooked rice, onion, raw crumbled ground beef, salt and pepper, then tomatoes.
3. Cover with tight lid and simmer 25 - 35 minutes until rice, cabbage and beef are done.
Do not stir or lift lid until done!
