Cranberry Loaf with
Warm
Butter Sauce

Cake:
3 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter, melted
1½ cup granulated sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1½ cups milk
3 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
1. Preheat oven to 350*. Grease 2 loaf pans.
2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt in a
small bowl.
3. Combine butter and sugar in a large bowl. Beat with
a mixer on medium until well blended.
4. Add eggs and mix.
5. Add milk alternately with the fry ingredients,
starting and ending with dry ingredients. Mix well.
6. Stir in cranberries. Pour into prepared pans.
7. Bake 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted comes
out clean.
Sauce
2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
1½ cups whipping cream
2 tsp. Vanilla
Red food coloring
Bring butter, sugar and cream to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes. Remove
from heat and add vanilla and coloring.
