Seven Layer Overnight Lettuce Salad
1 head lettuce
2 stalks celery
2 green onions
1½ cups frozen peas
2 cups Miracle Whip
2 Tb. sugar
1 cup grated
cheddar cheese
½ lb. bacon, chopped and
crisped
Break lettuce into bite
size pieces. Finely chop celery and green onions. Slightly cook peas by
bringing to a boil only and quickly drain and shock in cold water. Combine
Miracle Whip and sugar. Use a 9 x 13 glass pan and layer lettuce, celery,
onions, peas, dressing, cheese and bacon. Cover and let sit in refrigerator for
24 hours. Cut in serving size squares and serve with a pancake turner. (if it
doesn’t sit that long, it will not hold together and will be just like a tossed
salad)
