Root Beer Candied Popcorn – Cindy Behr
6 quarts popped corn
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup butter
1 cup white corn syrup
½ bottle root beer extract
1. Bring to boil and stirring, boil for 3 minutes.
2. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. baking soda. Stir
well.
3. Pour over 6 quarts popped corn. Stir to coat well.
Put into large paper bag. Close top and stuff into microwave oven.
4. Cook on HIGH for 2 minutes. Remove and shake hard.
5. Cook again on HIGH for 1½ minutes. Remove and
shake.
6. Cook again on HIGH for 1 minute. Shake then dump
onto counter to cool.
