Texas Sheet Cake

Texas Sheet Cake 

Bring to boil:    1 cup butter

                        1 cup water

                        4 Tb. cocoa

I do this in the microwave.

Cool a bit then add:     2 cups sugar

                                    ½ tsp. salt

                                    2 cups flour

Beat well and add:      2 eggs

                                    ½ cup sour cream

                                    1 tsp. soda

Beat some more. Pour into greased 18” x 12” pan.

Bake at 400* for 20 minutes.

While cake is cooling,

Bring to boil:    ¼ cup butter

                        3 Tb. cocoa

                        ¼ cup water

Add:     2 – 3 cups icing sugar

            1 tsp. vanilla

Beat until smooth. Frost while cake is still warm.
